Client was moving loaded freezers from one facility to another. Upon arrival at the destination, it was discovered that the facility did not possess the appropriate junction boxes to accommodate the freezers' respective NEMA plug types. A technician was not available until the next day, and the freezers could not be transported back to the origin.
The Tobin Scientific redundant generator truck (RGT) that handled the original transportation was able to remain on-site, running at full power with all freezers plugged in with constant temperature monitoring.
All biological materials were preserved without power interruption while the client’s team made the necessary upgrades. Once the new plugs were tested and approved, the freezers were moved from the trailer to the facility.
