Your Role

The Facilities Manager will support the operations, maintenance, and compliance of Tobin Scientific’s state-of-the-art facilities, including GMP and non-GMP warehouses, cold chain infrastructure, and fleet of transportation assets. You will generate and use data to ensure the highest operational standards and regulatory compliance, critical to supporting our pharmaceutical and biotech clients. This role reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer and is based out of our headquarters in Beverly, MA, with regular visits to satellite sites across Greater Boston.

What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; Facilities, Property, Construction, or Supply Chain Management; Business; or a related field. (Equivalent experience and a demonstrated track record of success also qualifies.)
  • 5+ years of experience managing facilities in a pharmaceutical, biotech, manufacturing, supply chain, or logistics environment.
  • Strong project management skills, including problem-solving, budgeting, and vendor management.
  • Experience implementing, managing and/or administering a Maintenance Management System.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • In-depth knowledge of GMP regulations and compliance requirements.
    • Experience with cold chain storage and transportation facilities.
    • Certification in Facilities Management (e.g., IFMA CFM) or Project Management (e.g., PMP).
    • Lean Six Sigma Certification (e.g. Green Belt) and/or deep knowledge of Lean concepts.
Key Responsibilities
  • Own the asset lifecycle from procurement, to onboarding, maintenance and retirement.  
  • Monitor and report metrics relating to our storage facilities and transportation fleet, ensuring reliable uptime and efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with GMP and ISO 9001:2015 guidance, and help prepare for audits and inspections.
  • Populate and manage preventive and corrective maintenance tasks for HVAC systems, refrigeration units, vehicles,  and other critical infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with third-party vendors for specialized services.
  • Plan and execute the implementation of our CMMS related to facility upgrades, expansions, and new construction.
  • Identify opportunities to improve energy efficiency and implement sustainability initiatives.
  • Manage technicians and coordinators to achieve department KPI goals.  
  • Contribute to a high-performance culture, promoting accountability and continuous improvement.  
  • Support supplier qualification activities, through the gathering, documentation and verification of specifications.
